Onyx Offsites & Trainings ("Onyx," "we," "us," or "our") provides team building, training, offsites and retreats, CSR, wellness, virtual, and holiday programs for organizations. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through our website at www.onyxteams.com (the "Site") and related communications, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect
Information you provide to us
- Quote and contact requests. When you request a quote or contact us through a form on the Site, we collect your first and last name, email address, phone number, the services you are interested in, and program details you choose to share, such as program date, number of participants, program location, and program goals.
- Newsletter sign-ups. When you subscribe to our updates, we collect your email address and, if you provide them, your name and the topics you are interested in.
- ROI Calculator. When you use our ROI Calculator, we collect your first name, last name, and work email address, along with the information you enter into the calculator.
- Direct communications. When you email us (for example, at info@onyxteams.com or jobs@onyxteams.com), call us, or otherwise contact us, we collect the information included in your message.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information using cookies and similar technologies, such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages you view, the page or website that referred you, the date and time of your visit, and how you interact with the Site. If you arrive on the Site from one of our ads, this may include information about the ad campaign or search keyword associated with your visit.
2. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- respond to your inquiries and quote requests, and plan and deliver the programs you ask about;
- send you newsletters and other marketing communications you have signed up for, or that relate to your inquiry;
- operate, maintain, and improve the Site, and understand how visitors use it;
- measure the performance of our advertising and show relevant ads, as described in Section 4;
- protect the Site and our forms against spam, fraud, and abuse; and
- comply with legal obligations.
3. Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files stored on your device. The Site uses the following categories of cookies and similar technologies:
- HubSpot analytics and forms. Our website and forms run on HubSpot. HubSpot sets cookies such as
__hstc,hubspotutk,__hssc, and__hssrcto recognize returning visitors, track sessions, and connect form submissions with your browsing activity on the Site. - Advertising. Google Ads sets cookies such as
_gcl_auand may use cookies on Google domains (for example, doubleclick.net) to measure ad conversions and support remarketing. See Section 4. - Security and spam protection. Our forms use Google reCAPTCHA, and our hosting infrastructure may set security cookies (such as
__cf_bm) to distinguish people from automated traffic. - Embedded content. Videos embedded from YouTube may set YouTube cookies when the page loads or when you play a video.
The Site also loads fonts from Adobe Fonts and Google Fonts, which receive your IP address when delivering fonts to your browser.
Your cookie choices. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. If you block cookies, some parts of the Site, such as forms, may not work as intended.
4. Advertising and lead forms
Google Ads. We advertise our services through Google Ads. We use the Google Ads tag on the Site to measure when visitors who clicked our ads submit a form, and for remarketing, which lets Google show our ads to people who have previously visited the Site when they browse other websites or use Google services. Google may collect information about your visit, such as your IP address, device identifiers, and the pages you viewed, through cookies. You can manage personalized ads from Google at adssettings.google.com, and you can learn more about how Google uses information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Lead forms. Forms on the Site are provided by HubSpot. When you submit a form, your information is stored in our HubSpot customer relationship management (CRM) system, together with information about how you found and used the Site, so our team can follow up with you by email or phone about your request.
5. Service providers and disclosures
We share personal information with service providers that help us operate the Site and our business, including:
- HubSpot - website hosting, forms, CRM, email, and analytics;
- Google - Google Ads advertising and measurement, reCAPTCHA spam protection, and YouTube video embeds; and
- Adobe and Google - web font delivery.
We may also disclose personal information when required by law, such as in response to a valid legal request.
6. Sale and sharing of personal information
We do not sell personal information for money. However, our use of Google Ads remarketing, described in Section 4, may be considered "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You can opt out of this sharing as described in Section 8.
7. Data retention and security
Retention. We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, or as required by law.
Security. We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information. However, no method of transmitting or storing information is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your privacy choices and requests
- Marketing emails. You can unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or by contacting us. We may still send you messages related to an inquiry or program you have with us.
- Cookies and personalized ads. You can control cookies through your browser settings and manage personalized Google ads at adssettings.google.com.
Privacy rights under applicable law. Depending on where you live, applicable law (for example, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended) may give you the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information; to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information; and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Where these rights apply to you, you can submit a request by emailing info@onyxteams.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject line, or by calling 858-298-3962. To opt out of sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, email us with "Do Not Share" in the subject line. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond as required by applicable law. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf where permitted by law.
9. Children, third-party links, and changes
Children. Our Site and services are designed for businesses and organizations and are not directed to children.
Third-party links. The Site links to third-party websites and social media pages, such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and YouTube. Their own privacy policies govern how they handle your information.
Changes to this policy. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date above.
